Modern Square Dance is a dance for four couples, but you don't need to bring a group to learn!  Couples, singles, and people of all ages can take square dance classes!

A beginner typical square dance class lasts about 12-15 weeks, covering approximately 50 calls.  Each lesson is progressive, so what you learn this week will be based on what you learned last week!  And your Square Dance Caller is not only responsible for teaching you how to Square Dance, but also to make your lessons fun and exciting so you're itching to come back next week!

Book Your Own Lesson Class

If you are part of a group that is looking for a great group activity that is fun & fosters positive team building, Avery is available to teach basic square dancing to private groups.  A class is approx. 24 hours, taught in minimum 2-hour lessons.  Please inquire about availability & pricing. 

College Classes

Many colleges have offered Modern Square Dancing as a college class for credit.  Purdue University, West Lafayette had a thriving college club for years, and the MIT Tech Squares are one of the most well known square dance clubs in the nation!

If you would like to take square dancing at your college or university, please inquire via email below.  Avery is not currently teaching any college courses, but will pursue doing so if there is enough interest.
